I first joined the Dudley Academies Trust Central Team in July 2022 as IT Technician for Central Projects. This role saw me provide day-to-day technical support for members of the Central Team, as well as act as a second line support for our academies. I also was able to work on a number of projects whilst in this role.
In May 2024, I progressed to the role of IT Operations Officer, expanding on my previous responsibilities.
In the summer of 2025, Dudley Academies Trust undertook its biggest IT project ever – a complete overhaul of all of our IT systems, and migration away from an all-encompassing MSP that had been in place for over 20 years (see here for more details). Following the completion of this project, the Trust restructured it’s internal IT Team to allow us to manage and run the Trust-wide IT service internally. As part of this process, I was promoted to IT Technical Operations Manager.

During my time at Dudley Academies Trust, I have had the opportunity to work on and lead a number of projects. While this is in no way an exhaustive list, I’ve included some of the key projects below. These are a mixture of ‘big’ projects, like the Trust-wide 2025 IT Overhaul, as well as projects that seem much smaller, that either form part of our wider Digital Strategy, or have larger background impacts to other areas of operation.
